romeo gigli silk shantung dress and pant set ensemble

available is a 1990s romeo gigli silk shantung dress and pant set ensemble. romeo gigli was known for blending together a pre-raphaelite pathos with indian, turkish, persian elements found during his travels. you can see the subtle indian influence in the design of this ensemble, which has the essence of an indian sari set via the combination of pieces as well as the silhouette, blended with a pre-raphaelite romance in the subtle drape across the dress and the rich shade of red-- all of it somehow staying modern, chic and timeless, which romeo gigli was a genius at. 

the dress has a slightly asymmetric bust line, beautiful long row of buttons down the side and a thin halter strap and can be worn on its own or together with the pants. the silk shantung is very lightweight for spring / summer wear. both pieces are unlined. the pants have a side zipper and hook closure.

fits like a small (US 4-6)- please check measurements for fit. in excellent condition.
