ralph lauren purple label white pleated 2004 reissue dress

the modern remake of a ralph lauren spring 2004 purple label archival dress. white pleated crepe-back satin (has weight), woven with highly twisted yarns to create a luxurious drape. there are criss cross straps in the back and a hidden zipper on the skirt. (perfect for outdoor wedding festivities.) 

this dress is designed to be pleated at the top of the skirt and to have the pleats release towards the bottom for ease of movement (as seen in the last photo & video) but we went ahead and had the skirt  re-pleated for you by eddie, a local los angeles professional pleater (who takes on garment projects for the local movie studios) who gave a long lesson on what an art it can be. 

tagged a size us 10 but shown on a size 2/4 model

(the straps were shortened slightly on the model for fit, very simple to tailor due to the very open bodice). new with tags.

bust: open, end to end of the front flap 19.5"

center band: 31" (depending on if you have the straps shortened, the waist band will sit higher or lower on your waist)

hips: around 38” 

length: 69" (the dress will need to be hemmed by most wearers)
