available is a unique krizia black silk plisse ruffle bomber jacket. mariuccia mandelli (designer of krizia), whom umberto eco once described as someone who "invents the taste of her own public," was experimenting with her signature micro pleating, plissé, and ruffles starting in 1978, long before even issey miyake. she implemented all kinds of pleating (horizontal, vertical, harmonica, knife, spiral) through her career and her influence can be seen all over modern runways, though her brand and name are largely relegated to the sidelines. 

this rare krizia jacket features a variety of pleating techniques on the body of the jacket, as well as on the ruffle trim that wraps around the neck and creates a frame around the face. full dramatic sleeves and self-lined in a black silk, with a single hook closure at center. the silk is very light and airy. a strong and dramatic piece with hallmark 80s features that manages to still be modern and wearable today.
