available is a christian dior ss 2019 blush pink pleated floor length grecian-style dress. for that season, maria grazia chiuri was influenced by modern dance - “i wanted to speak about dance with a different point of view. i think that dance and fashion are very close, for they both speak about the body.” she added, “modern choreographers speak about freedom.”
for chiuri, freedom meant new silhouettes and fabrications, which this available dress represents-- an easier jersey (used for the first time at the house) draped and pleated into a neo-grecian frock. it features an asymmetric bodice with a single thin delicate strap that falls on the shoulder and delicately crosses the back and helps suspend the center back of the dress very slightly - a subtle feature that adds a gentle quality to the entire dress. the bodice is lined, the skirt is unlined and the bust stretches to stay in place, as well as there being a thick band at the waist to hold the dress up. a dress that can go in a more casual or formal direction.
